Dees is a passionate DJ, vinyl collector, and creative spirit with a deep love for music built on groove. For more than 30 years he has been behind the decks, driven by an enduring passion for vinyl and the timeless sounds of funk, soul, disco, and boogie. While rooted in those genres, he can move far beyond them as long as the groove is right. His sets are all about rhythm, feeling, and flow, music that moves people and brings dancefloors together.
A dedicated digger, Dees has built an extensive record collection over the decades. His style blends timeless grooves with unexpected selections, guided by an instinctive sense for atmosphere and energy. Over the years he has played at events and festivals including Manify, Mysteryland, and Haarlem Vinyl Festival.
Dees is part of the vinyl-only collective Zwarte Liefde, founded by Welly Well. Alongside his work as a DJ, he is also the graphic designer behind the collective’s visual identity, creating the artwork that represents Zwarte Liefde. Both behind the decks and through his designs, Dees channels the same passion, authentic culture, creativity, and music straight from the heart.
